IACFS/ ME Newsletters - 2026 to present - Editor: Dr. Lea Höfel
Some of you may recall that IACFS/ME previously published a Newsletter several times a year, edited by the amazing Dr. Rosamund Vallings of New Zealand. Given the many developments in ME/CFS, Long COVID, and related conditions, we felt this is the perfect time to bring it back.
In contrast to our peer-reviewed medical journal Fatigue: Biomedicine, Health, and Behavior, the Newsletter is meant to be a less formal, potentially faster method of communicating important information to our community. The Newsletter is anticipated to be published 3 - 4 times a year. Our Editor, Dr. Lea Höfel—a psychologist leading the Center for Pain Therapy for Young People at the Pediatric Clinic in Garmisch-Partenkirchen / Bavaria who specializes in chronic pain and fatigue in children—will guide its content.
The Newsletter is designed for YOU, our Members and Supporters. We want it to be useful. Have an opinion on new research or policy? Need participants for a study? Want to share a funding opportunity? Consider contributing a few sentences. If there’s a topic you'd like to see discussed or an individual you’d like to hear from, let us know at iacfsmeorg@gmail.com. (Or use our contact form.)
If you want to be e-mailed the Newsletter as soon as it is published, visit our homepage and click the words "Join Our E-mail Newsletter" in the left-upper corner. Fill in your name and e-mail address; then hit "Subscribe."*
We look forward to your comments and ideas!
