Dr. Klimas is a Professor of Medicine, Psychology, Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Miami School of Medicine. She is principal investigator of one of the 3 NIH sponsored CFS Research Centers, Dr. Klimas lead a multidisciplinary research team representing the fields of immunology, autonomic medicine, neuroendocrinology, behavioral psychology, rheumatology, nutrition, and exercise physiology, The University of Miami CFS Research Center is exploring interactions between the immune, autonomic and neuroendocrine systems, and evaluating therapies based on interventions at this level. Dr Klimas recently completed a sabbatical at the CDC, to develop assessment strategies for multi-site and international studies of CFS. (28 May 2003).
